'Bang Bang You're Dead' was written by award winning writer William Mastrosimone, writer of the controversial play 'Extremities'.
The Caxton Youth Theatre was given special permission from Mr Mastrosimone to perform the British Premier of his new play that was written specifically about the school shootings in America.
The play was written as an educational piece and therefore no royalties had to be paid, however tickets were free of charge as it was an experience not to be missed by young people.
The Caxton Youth Theatre Production was performed at the Skegness Festival where it won The Teamwork Trophy and it was also the Overall Winner of the Festival. The adjudicator suggested it was toured to other festivals in the country.
It was then performed at the Caxton Theatre on the main stage and was brought back at the end of the year by popular demand to be performed at The Lindsey School in one of their drama festivals. |
